Wildhaven terms and conditions

These simple rules apply when you create an account or play Wildhaven. Please read them before checking “I agree.”

1. This is a work in progress

Wildhaven is an unfinished multiplayer survival game. Expect bugs, interruptions, balance changes and occasional resets. Dinosaurs can die, including during the one-minute disconnect window. We cannot promise uninterrupted service, permanent saves or restoration of lost progress. Please report problems through Playtest Feedback.

2. Be fair and respectful

Normal hunting and combat are part of the game. Harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual exploitation, sharing someone’s private information, cheating and deliberately disrupting the server are not allowed. Report exploits instead of abusing them. Follow the posted rules of your island. We may moderate content, remove access or suspend accounts to protect players and the service.

3. Your account and younger players

Players under 13 may play only after a parent or legal guardian completes our parent consent process. A parent supplies the account email and reviews the live multiplayer features. A permission checkbox alone does not complete that process. Young players must not share real names, school, location or other private details.

Use an email address you control (the parent’s address for under-13 accounts), keep your password private and do not impersonate someone else. Your username is shared across connected islands; dinosaurs and rewards belong to their individual islands. An email address does not currently provide automatic password recovery or email verification. Do not share account credentials with room hosts.

4. Your information and email choices

We store your username, a protected password hash, account email, terms acceptance, optional contact choices and game progress to operate the game. The service also handles connection information, chat, feedback and diagnostics for gameplay, support and moderation. What you post in chat or feedback can be visible to other players; keep private information out of those posts. Voice is shared with other players when you enable your microphone. Live voice and chat may contain language we cannot screen before it reaches you. Parents should supervise younger players. Use the Sound menu to turn off nearby voices, and Menu → Report player to report abuse privately to island moderators. Reports do not record voice or automatically punish the reported player.

Account email and terms acceptance are required. Emails about Wildhaven and other Northwood Foundry games, and alpha/beta tester invitations, are two separate optional choices. Neither is required to play. We may use your account email for necessary account or service matters. We do not show it to other players or connected room hosts. Under-13 accounts are not added to marketing or tester mailing lists. Optional email choices do not start an automated mailing service in this build.

We keep account and save information while needed to run the playtest and handle support or moderation; stopped-server backups may retain earlier copies. Requests about your information and optional email choices can be made through [email protected]. Parents may ask to review or delete their child’s information, withdraw consent or stop further collection; we will verify the request before acting. Never post your email or password in public feedback.

5. Feedback and game materials

You keep ownership of your original feedback. By submitting it, you allow Northwood Foundry to store, display and use it to operate and improve the game without a promise of payment or implementation. Only submit material you have permission to share. Game code, art and third-party assets retain their respective ownership and licenses.

6. Changes and your rights

You may stop playing at any time. We may change the game and these terms as the playtest develops. Material terms changes will be presented for acceptance before you continue. Nothing here removes rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded.
