Wildhaven: information for parents

Northwood Foundry · 2026-10-08 · [email protected]

Before an under-13 player registers, a parent or legal guardian must contact us privately and complete consent. Do not send the child’s real name, email, birthday, school, location or identity documents. Use a made-up game username and the parent’s email. We will provide this notice directly during the consent process.

What the playtest collects and shares

The service stores a game username, protected password, parent email, under-13 age category, consent record and dinosaur progress. It uses connection/session information to run the game. Other players can see the game username and gameplay. The game includes public text chat, friend messages, feedback and optional nearby voice; anything a child shares there can reach other players. Voice begins with the microphone off. Reports include the reporting and reported usernames, the report text and time, and are private to island moderators. The report button does not make a voice recording.

These features support a live multiplayer survival game. We do not promise to screen live speech or text before another player sees or hears it. Players can disable nearby voice in the Sound menu and report inappropriate conduct. Parents should supervise. Under-13 accounts are excluded from marketing and tester email lists. Connected room hosts receive island gameplay and moderation information, not the parent’s account email or consent paperwork.

Your choices

Read the terms and conditions. Ask questions before agreeing. You can decline registration, review the information we hold about your child, request deletion, or withdraw permission for further collection by emailing us. We verify the parent before fulfilling requests. Account data is used while the account is active and as needed for support/moderation; historical stopped-server backups require separate removal. Contact us before registering if you do not want public communication features enabled: the current build does not provide a separate child-safe communication mode.

Parent consent form

Print this page or save a copy, complete and sign it, then return a scan or clear photo privately to [email protected]. Do not upload it to Playtest Feedback. We will review it and contact you if further confirmation is needed before issuing a single-use approval code. An ordinary “yes” email or a child ticking a box is not our approval process.

I am the parent or legal guardian of the under-13 player using the made-up username below. I have read this notice and the terms. I consent to the collection and use described above to provide Wildhaven, including the described multiplayer sharing. I understand the game has live text and voice communication, and I can withdraw consent by contacting Northwood Foundry.

Made-up game username:

Parent/guardian name and email:

Parent/guardian signature and date:

After approval, the parent completes registration using their email and the approval code, checks “Under 13?” and accepts the terms. Keep the code private; it expires after seven days and can be used once.
